About Dr. Damon

Dr. Clay Damon is a third generation Spokane resident. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1987 from the University of Washington on a full academic scholarship. He played varsity basketball for UW for four years and received the Pac-10 All Conference Academic Team Honor. His lifetime interest of dentistry evolved into continuing his education by earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Washington in 1991. He served as a restorative dentist and clinical instructor in the University Of Washington School Of Dentistry from 1991-1993.

His passion for the science of orthodontics led him to invest two more years of study and research at Case Western Reserve University completing his Master of Science degree in Orthodontics in 1995. Dr. Damon's orthodontic treatment philosophy is patient centered. He treats to the individual characteristics of each patient and their inherent uniqueness. It is very important to Dr. Damon that his patients enjoy their orthodontic experience and benefit from a great smile when treatment is finished.

Dr. Damon cares deeply about the importance of the total development of young people. For example he believes strongly in the value of organzied sports, and supports community organizations. Dr. Damon is involved in all aspects of coaching young people who participate in community sports. He is also a faithful supporter of Spokane's premier basketball event: Hoopfest.

Rewards


To help make the journey through orthodontic treatment more fun, we give our patients Damon Dollars that they can redeem for cool stuff like the Nintendo DS, and iPod Shuffle. The program is patient centered to acknowledge the partnership we enter into with them. Patients have to avoid some foods and other things to better manage their braces and their teeth. We understand that this means giving up some of their favorite things therefore we want to encourage our patients by filling that gap with our support. Damon Dollars are also given for things like good grades and good dental check-ups.
